I was quite generous with the one because it showed greatly when the big boys did not that much ... merlot driven, still with more and more Bouchet (CF) in it
Nose = Floral and smoky, notes from wine, not from oak, it really smells different than oak smokiness, mineral, little vanilla, mint comes in...
Palate is subtle almost sweet, Roteboeuf style, salty finish, not a big wine, but ripe and luscious, very soft and balanced, chalky finish with salinity... at 15 alcohol it's crazy balanced !

Ouvert et bu une bouteille le jour de l’achat. Très bon pour son niveau, plein d’épices et de petites touches cacaotées, digeste malgré les 15% affichés. Bonne valeur. 90-91

This is better than it has any right to be. Very rich without being too concentrated. It's an excellent food wine (better than most cab sav dom wines in the same price range) and pairs with almost anything. I'd say you can't go wrong with an easy on the wallet entry point.

After reading the notes on this, I had to pop a bottle even though CT advises waiting til '25. Boy am I glad I did! I absolutely agree with those who have showered superlatives on this wine. It is rich and full-bodied, tasty even at PnP, and I agree it is bound to only get better. Best vintage of this wine I have ever had. So good, in fact, that I spent $5 more per bottle than I previously paid for my two bottles, to get four more! Wow! For now: 5-13-17-8: 93/100. With room to improve!

Popped and poured. This was good but not nearly as good as my last bottle. Still easily high 80s or low 90s.
