Medium ruby colored. Aromas of raspberries and tangy red currants, along with dried flowers, sage and mushroom. With time I picked up more beet and bay leaf aromas. (Reminds me of Kyiv!) On the palate, tangy acid lines up with medium-grained but firm tannins. Flavors of tangy cherries, raspberries, mushroom, sage and pepper. There's some toasty oak in here too (it's aged for 16 months in 20% new oak), but it's balanced very well. Long finish with notes of pickled beet and green coffee beans. This wine is really hitting the spot, but I could see aging it for another two years. Very impressive for it's humble appellation. I'd never heard of this producer, but it's on my radar now for sure.

This village Burgundy from Tollot-Beaut has been in my cellar since 2008. Lovely cherry notes on the nose, with occasional hints of classic cru-level Burgundy aromas, which always remind me of crayons in the sunshine. Don't ask me why!

A pleasant wine on day one that seemed well-made but not beyond its humble origin... day 2, a much more fragrant cherry (a tad high-toned), palate of cherries, lavender, beetroot, more extraction evident on day 2 than day 1, nice long finish.

Very surprised at this. Expected bright fruit which was needed with the dish we were serving, and there was none. All flavors of the soil, somewhat tannic and tight. Wait a while before trying again.

Could have let this cellar a little longer. Tollot Beaut is a solid producer but this is definitely a step below cru Burgundy.
