Lots of black fruits in the nose, blackberries, black cherries, black raspberries, as well as chocolate, licorice, tobacco, and hints of earthiness. Rich concentrated black and blue fruits in the flavor. Full bodied and a medium to long finish.

Lovely nose of black cherry and ferrous minerals. Quite mature now with flavors of ripe cherries along with hints of coffee and spices. Still good acidity and freshness keep this dancing on the palate. Finishes with good intensity, nice mineral crunch and a salty quality perhaps from the proximity of the vineyard close to the Pacific. One of the best W&S wines for aging and this should be drunk now.

Lioco and Sonoma Coast Tasting (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. Lots of red berry on nose and palate with sweet baking spice, good overall textures. This showed many of the same traits as the younger Hirsch earlier in the evening and had the spice I often associate with Williams Selyem.

Singing. Nice balance of spice and fruit notes. Still relatively fresh, but showing some development into maturity.

A bit jammy for me as nothing left but fruit.
