Soave & Brunello (Anima e Cuore): Herbal and high toned with a pastille character: smooth fruit, aromatic, saturated red and purple. Quite compact still - it feels young - with a sweet, fruity, slightly simple palate. A dusting of fine, grippy tannins see out a long finish.

White tobacco on the nose, very elegant on the nose and the palate, the savoriness goes throughout, long finish that rides on its savoriness as well. Pretty darn tasty.

Ruby red with a little ruddiness on the rim. After 2 hour decant, the nose bursts open with cherries and raspberries and early summer flowers. Really terrific. The palate is nicely chewy and acidic and the flavours linger forever. More red fruits, superbly balanced. The reason to drink Sangiovese. Very drinkable now, but I imagine this one is going to get much better. Patience will be rewarded. Seems to shut down after 4 hours in the glass/decant. Don’t open next one until summer 2025

OK this wine drank much better than the previous bottle. 2 hour aeration/decant and it was singing. Cedar/Tabacco with an herbal element like thyme. Clear rim and light ruby red in glass. Wonderful balance in the mouth with a great mid palate and a long complex finish.

not sure I am on board with the over the moon ratings from WA and WS at least at this stage. Did a one hour aerated decant and drank over several hours. A good solid Brunello but thought it lacked the depth and complexity of a 95+ wine. will wait a couple of years to open next one.
