  • Translucent crimson. Expressive and voluptuous, showing violets, dried summer flowers, saffron and hints of tobacco leaf. Precise, elegant and with fantastic density. The palate is fleshy, wonderfully fresh and with fine china-bone tannin; lingers for ages. Superb winemaking; promises to evolve into something quite superb over the next decade. 94+

  • Drank alongside with the 2017 Nada Fiorenzo Barbaresco. As with the Barbaresco, also big and grippy tannins upon PnP. Proceeded to decant for 2+ hours. Unlike the barbaresco, it continued to get better and never topped out.

Lots of bright red fruit, raspberries, strawberries, red plum, oak, baking spices. This ended up having great balancing with purity of fruit not being too tart or jammy. Would also age really well with lots of upside. 91+ pts
