This is always the fun and interesting thing about Riesling, forget about it for a few days or a week in the fridge after opening - and it is almost always better than the day it was opened. One week old notes...outstanding nose of pure petrol - with a touch of marzapan type thing going on! Gorgeous and pure nose...Medium body, dry, reveals more fruit, with tart acidity on the finish which then morphs into a petrol note.
Delicious. Here's to Riesling!
And to think, Peter Barry couldn't imagine Americans would ever "understand" dry Riesling.
