"Dit is fantastisch. Meursault stijl. Rijk en vol in de mond - gebalanceerd door mooie zuren. Mooie textuur. Citrus fruit (tikkeltje wit, vooral geel) verandert in rijper fruit bij de (medium) afdronk. Toast. Doet denken aan veel duurdere Bourgogne wijnen. Bittertje op het einde. Kan nog jaren bewaren. Gastronomisch. Echt fantastisch. Niet te koel drinken. Decanteren +- eerste 3 jaar"

Nose initially came across as a little closed. It’s certainly not an open, giving, aroma but it is quite complex and interesting with quite potent herbal, nutty, and slightly mineral notes. A bit unusual and hard to pint down - raw peanuts, mixed with raw sage and lemon rind? Some slightly more floral notes start to come through with air and increasing temperature.
Quite dense and powerful on the palate. Compact, with intense flavours which bring more fruit to the party than is found on the nose. Quite sweet and tropical but not in a cloying way, a slightly salty finish. Sage coming through too. Structure is all in check and the length is there, this can stand up to big-ish flavours.
It’s somehow not the easiest wine for me to love, but I respect it! Very well made and interesting, commands attention.

Pale-ish straw colour. Medium intensity nose of ripe pineapple, lemon soap, grapefruit curd, welch's, tasteful vanilla. Beyond that a bit of nuts nuts and spices, maybe some toasted honey.
Palate is really, really good - very concentrated and very balanced. A good mix of fruit (ripe yellow pear finally comes through here) and savoury - salty, nutty, and a little lemon sour. Length is long and texture is a little juicy, with modest tautness from the acidity.
Num num num. Thought this might be too rich for Asparagus (the dread!) pasta but they actually paired quite well.
Have enjoyed a number of these over the past year. This has def taken a turn mow. A blend of 6 white grapes, the majority being Chenin Blanc at 66%. Still, it feels like others are standing out right now.
Pnp at a local restaurant for our first course. Nicely chilled with a nose of sweet pineapple and banana. Citrus on the palate, a hint of sweetness, too. Pairs well with a salad. Not as viscous as I remember from last year......hence 1 point less in my book.

Oooh, this is gorgeous. Really ripe chenin, the fruit a bit tropical, but with so much drive it works superbly.
