More like a Northern Rhine wine than an Italian white. The wine is very well made and a treat. It has a soft feel in the mouth yet with strong minerality, tartness and abundant fruit. the finish lingers as slightly unripened apple.

Color/App: light, straw yellow; medium + viscosity. Bouquet of ripe green apple, peach, a touch of honey, marzipan and peach pit. Palate shows apple and stone fruit again with lemon zest and mineral notes. Slight attractive bitterness on the long, slow mineral-laden outro. Seems to be a bit of oak there, too (?). Acid level just so for a Derthona (this my third trying). Similar overall profile to the Oddero but a step behind Walter Massa's.

Lush and generous fruit (pear, apple, meyer lemon) and body, with juicy acid and an excellent touch of phenolic bitterness on the finish. A serious wine that's easy to enjoy.

Fantastic stuff. Consumed with country pate, tapenade, and some fresh blue cheese. Really nice chardonnay like aromas and flavors, some silk in the mouth, some real body (vs. chardonnay) ... dry, refreshing acidity, some crisp pear ... really enjoyed this.

Tasty, layered. Whoa that acid! Could probably last for years. Nice savory honey, toasted nut finishing notes
