  This wine surprised me. Much larger and denser than I would have thought given the vintage. Almost blocky in tannin, but with good fruit and acidity to balance. No sign of greenness. Not as layered or complex as you would want from a GC. Enjoyable none the less. Can dink now or what another five.

  Gingseng roots, dry earth and red cherries on the nose. On the palate, dang gui Chinese herb with American gingseng all supported by bitter sweet racy raspberry and cherries and strawberries on a bed of red petals. Soft and balanced. V herbal or vegetal but unlike most burg vintages , this vintage is unique in its own right. For me growing up taking Chinese herbs and medicine , this reminds me of childhood

  Burgundy tasting (The American Club, Hong Kong): Very intense and spicy. Meaty with leather. Some vanilla. Great on palate - nicely aged.

  Was a bit disappointed with this one. Has been looking forward to it for a while now, looking at the bottle in the cellar from time to time. But this feels like a village wine and not a grand cru. A mild but protrusive and pleasant nose, dominated by berries. On the palate it has lots of red fruits and good balance, and some power but not tons as I would expect from a grand cru. It also seems to lose itself a bit after an hour in the glass. Do not misunderstand me, this is a very good bottle of wine. But still, something is lacking. And the price is too steep for a bottle of this quality. over $120 is just too much. (Recalculated from my country's currency)
