I cork vetted this wine at a table and was given a small taste so my experience with the wine was brief but the nose was vibrant with white and orange peaches, delicate honey, and stone .. there was a tremendous luminosity to the nose as though when I breathed from the glass a light was shined on me .. the palate matched the nose .. dry with medium plus acidity and tingling minerality .. the wine was clean with no natty characteristics

Pale gold, even straw colored. Not seeing the greenish tint that others see. Apples and nectarines plus something floral (but not the lilies that Jancis wrote about for the ‘18: there are lilies in a vase on my counter right now.) Really nice (harmonious?) lime-centered acidity, and a mineral undertone for good measure. Quite dry, in the English sense (not quite!), but a very drying finish. So many elements! Paired first night with chicken korma, and the second night with chicken chili. Both were good pairings.

Pale yellow gold with green tint. Red apple, apricot, smoked pear and honey. Slight viscosity on the palate, round, long and clean finish.
We paired it with charcoal grilled tandoori chicken and curry. All my Burgundies were demolished by the curry spices, but this Ostertag held up above and beyond the call of culinary duty.
I saved some for next morning, Father's Day crepe breakfast. It held up well and the honey became more pronounced.
Man I really love this riesling; may be my favorite Alsatian riesling though I'll be fair I haven't sampled some of the better bottlings from Trimbach, etc recently. That said, this is so consistently excellent and even though it isn't cheap the quality makes it seem like solid value (at least for someone who is normally looking at burgundy prices...) super fresh citrus and crushed stone, jasmine, green pear, and a whiff of petrol. Fresh, vibrant, and full of stone and citrus peel the palate has excellent depth and a lovely saline hint to the finish. So hard not to just take another sip. s

Very good as I expect from this wine; not as good as the 2017 for me; lovely Riesling notes of orchard fruit, minerality, petrol, and very floral; the palate has good depth and while the energy and depth are good it doesn't quite have the intensity and minerality of the '17. That said its delicious and strongly recommended.
