The Mousse was the bottle I was most excited about, and it was a bit of a letdown. I don’t know if it was past its prime or if it hadn’t been kept in ideal conditions. On the nose it was candied fruit and lemon peel. The mouthfeel was soft, warm, and coating. The acidity was high, and the bubbles dispelled quickly. Cherry preserves and candied grape on the palate, with molasses as it opened up. A good champagne, but I won’t spend that amount of money on it again.

2nd time I have had this wine. Purchased this bottle at the winery. 100% Pinot Meunier. Still showing very well and aging extremely nicely for a Pinot Meunier. A creamy texture with notes of brioche and apple. Lively and fresh bead. Rich finish. Just a wondeful champagne from probably the best Meunier producer. 94 points.

Courtesy of VM. Hazelnut and apple notes; really nice fruit. Rich texture; fine bead. Ginger and apple with a subtle clay/mineral thing going on too. Excellent. 92-93 pts.

This was fantastic. Separately, at the same table where this was served, a fellow guest, a doctor, was saying that it is physically impossible to smell sweetness. But I think I can smell sweetness in the nose of this excellent Champagne. Lovely palate, with hints of crystallized pineapple, salt, ginger and sweet apple. Finessed. Lithe. So clean. With more air, some yeast notes emerge. Lovely champagne. At Ross'.
