  This was a rich, full-bodied red. Beautiful color, lots of fruit to the taste and wonderful earthy overtones to the nose. Great finish.

  Dark, almost black dense color. Rich nose of raspberry, blackberry and tobacco. A great, silky mouthfeel with strong tannins in the finish. Full bodied, this wine has great integration. I wonder how good will it be in 5+ years, because now just the tannic finish is keeping me from giving a higher score. This is the best Montepulciano I've had. It had the complexity and texture of a great Bordeaux, and the bright dark berry flavours typical of a Montepulciano.
