This was a great bottle except for the color. It was a brownish yellow color. Drank with deep fried halibut. Nice fruit acid balance. Will drink my last bottle soon.

The Verticals Tasting at 2020 La Paulée de New York (Eventi Hotel, New York): Magnum. Shockingly pale color. Beautifully focused with the best acidity of the bunch, plenty of salt water notes. The only one of these Louis Michel wines to shout Chablis, and a shock to find this in a 2006, which for me has generally meant unusually exotic, tropical wines. This was excellent and completely confounded expectations.

Way better than a bottle we had in 2018. PnP and drank with deep fried halibut. Fresh and bright. Nice acidity and balance. Drink or hold.

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Vertical. Walk around tasting. Surprisingly the brightest of the vertical. Plenty of ripe and tart apple with chalky mineral textures. Good+ length.

Had this with deep fries halibut. Did not like this as much as other Michel Chablis. It may need more cellar time to round out.
