  • This bottle is still a baby and pretty coiled up out of the bottle, so I gave it a splash decant. Within a few minutes it quickly started to improve in the glass, showing tropical aromatics and a glimpse of what's yet to come with this wine. On the palate, while the fruit is a bit shy at this stage, the precision and tension are exceptional, with fantastic acidity and so much energy. I'm sure this will be even better in a few years, but it's already delicious!

  • PnP. DIAM 30. A touch of sulfur on the nose, but much milder than previous vintages at this age. This is very well balanced, full of luscious white fruit and with a lovely acid backbone. It's extremely enjoyable and you can feel the goods, but seems stuck in 3rd gear at the moment. My first '20 Lafon and this may be a vintage that needs a bit more bottle time to shine, while the '17/'19 are already wide open at the moment.

  • I have never drunk Meursault so young. On the nose, it is floral and lively at the same time with a background of wet stone.

Palate of absolute purity. It is precise, laser cut and blind hard to recognize Meursault. But how good! Distilled aromas of jasmine, white flowers largely dominate then we finally have a little fat, the aerial whole ends up landing on stony notes. The juice is energetic thanks to a nice acid frame. Crystalline finish on mineral salts over a good length.

  • Domaine Lafon Cellar Visit and Tasting (Meursault): Tasted at Lafon. All Meursault cuvees were bottled between March - June 2022. This is the last to be bottled, in fact, Pierre went to the bottling line to get this bottle. Rich and fleshy while also so bright. Very floral, very lemony, very long. Very good 92-94 point potential, 2026 forward.
