  • Present from Ross. Was absolutely great after 2-3 hrs of air. Hold other bottles for 3-5 years for some development upside.

  • Dark crimson color, with notes of leather, oak, cassis, rose petals, and menthol on the nose, tastes of dried cherries, plum sauce, licorice, and blackberries, this has a long, full finish. Rich, full bodied, soft and smooth on the palate. This is a well balanced, complex wine, with good acidity, flavors, and Old World funk. Well done.

  • Dark deep red fruit, prunes, plums and dried flowers. Very good acidity and structure which tells me this needs another 4-6 years to fully blossom. Silky texture.
Give it 1-2 hours of slow oxidation if enjoyed now.

  • Light purple color. Such a complex and vibrant aromatic display, with tart currants, tangy plums, and raspberries, along with dusty earth, dried flowers, smoky earth, tobacco, and anise. The palate shows nice grip on the tannins but crisp acidity and a fresh appeal. Flavors of mulled cherries, cranberry relish, along with tar, pepper, earth, and plenty of savory mushroom, soy, dried flowers and minerals. Gorgeous complexity, with plenty of floral-earthy complexity on the finish. Refined already, but I’d love to see this in three to five years.

  • Medium reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty, floral & herbal notes, spices, minerals, camphor & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums with spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but should continue to develop further with additional aging.
