From our cellar. First of two bottles and we were quite impressed. Pretty ruby color with slight bricking. Amazing berry/cherry bouquet. Medium bodied, very spicy with berry, cherry, plum, cocoa, licorice. Complex, still some tannins but very approachable now. Racy acidity, very fresh tasting, long, long finish. Great with Prime Rib steaks. Drink now - 2030 at least.

Pop and pour. First sip said "WAIT until it gets some air" as it was closed, woody, with tar and sour cherry. One hour later it is more rounded, but still harsh. Three hours out the nose is still muted and the flavors are not nearly as harmonious as in earlier tastings. Is it a bad bottle? I don't think so as the fill and cork were perfect. Is the wine aging badly? I won't find out as this was my last bottle.

Already very good with just 3 hours audoze, this modernly-slanted effort is full in the mouth, but also very elegant and prepossessing in all facets. Medium+ bodied, with notable detail and elegance, this was not as good with the braised lamb shank as the '97 Montsoli was, but it was better on its own. highly recommended, thru 2025, 14,5% abv.

Nose of cocoa, perfume, black fruit, colle pritt… Nice tannic and grippy structure, sappy acidity with dark berries juice, very nice, but needs food!
