Consistent with previous bottle. Intense minerality. Crushed rocks in the glass. Bit of peppery spice on the finish. Strong acidity. More of a food wine than an aperitif wine.

Medium-light shiny straw color (a little darker than typical Gruner Vertliner). Nose is very subtle and delicate - green banana, green apple, chestnut compote, peppercorn, and dogtooth violet flower. In the mouth, initial kick of citrusy acidity/zest dissipates like a morning mist, and what’s left is total salinity/weightlessness (but that lingers long) - all is about texture, texture, and texture - it’s difficult to describe the beauty of this kind of wine (and the bottle is gone before I come up with better words).

Consistent with previous notes but some additional time in bottle has helped the wine settle down a bit. Really fantastic nose with some white pepper, florals and under ripe stone fruit. Zippy acidity. Will save my last bottle for a bit to see how it develops.

Pours a clear lemon (some said gold. I disagree). Aromas of fresh lemon, lime, under ripe white peach, white flowers, fresh radish, wet stone, a certain spiciness and also a certain wooliness. Pretty good minerality, at least on the nose. Medium intensity of aromas. No evidence of oak. Palate confirms all of the aromas and also shows phenolic bitterness. Chalky.
Medium body, medium + acid. Youthful.
Call - 2021 Grüner Veltliner
IMO, this is still developing and will be more expressive in 2-3 years. But it shows a lot of potential.
