  (93-94) One of the best wines of the tasting by far! Another Bouchard collection wine strikes again. This has a delightfully classic and dynamic profile of incense, hickory smoke, clove and some black pepper spice that open out to dark soil scents, sous bois character- various wood spices an a citrus tactile texture to the remaining fruit (both pale red cherry and orange zest). Totally resolved tannins with juicy acidity providing more elegance lift to the hallmark autumnal flavors. 93-94. I got to 94 points by the end though. Incredible for this Gevrey village.

  Looks like the only bottle in the CT universe, chose to share it with Xavier94 since he’s gaga over Bouchard Pere. Another amazing showing for a “mere” village red burgundy with lots of age on it.
