  Diam stopper. This has been stored impeccably since release and perhaps because of that it still shows young. Colour is pale to medium ruby. Nose offers a subtle blend of earth, dark berry and saline notes. Palate shows a fair bit of structure with the acidity and tannin up front. Medium finish delivers some mild tannic bitterness along with pleasant gamey notes. In my experience 2012s are a bit backward and generally need more time. Will improve and score higher in a few years. Drink or hold.

  Excellent... Definitely needed some significant air before showing at its best -- maybe an hour in the decanter? Right after pouring, it was heavily animal and earth notes. But with the air, it balanced out beautifully and became a perfect representation of the AOC.
