Prima foodpairing zu Spaghetti Carbonara! Hatte schon Bedenken, dass er zu alt sein könnte, war aber noch wunderbar. Cremige Textur, frische Säure, langer Abgang...

ripe, fullbodied, almost oily texture, brioche, exotic fruits, a lot of extract, a hint of sweetness in the long finish. Delicious with a BBQ T-Bone Steak

Tasted on its own after a gruner Veltliner tasting two weeks before (mainly young top end GV's) Still, surprisingly slightly fizzy initially (about first 2 minutes in the glass) On the nose: Lavender (on a white wine!!!), violet, Melon, starfruit, almost salty, green apple Taste: very dense, oily, huge flavor of fruits and toasted bread, melon, granny smith On the finish: extreme length, melon, sherbet, starfruit, toasted bread again, banana skin, quite some acidity Altogether a truly impressive wine, with most certainly many years of life ( and maybe improvement?) left in it. tentatively drinking ideal drinking window from 2013-2021, maybe much longer, only time will tell, feeling quite lucky to have a case left and will update on the next bottle opened....

Richard notes that Blau Blau isn't even Pinot. But here, touch age out Gruner, biscuty instead of sweet pea, full on the palate yet with som restraint, tasty stuff, wish it was $29 or $35 instead of $50.

Still big and impactful. Not my favorite rendition of Lamm but delicious all the same.
