Deeply colored purple hue, inky and opaque from center to rim. Black currant, blackberry, black cherry and dark licorice aromas cedar, graphite, coffee and tobacco components wrapped in a smoky and dusty overtone, revealing nutty and meaty bouquet with almond, hazelnut and steak au poivre. Very exciting and complex nose showing good heat and intensity. Full-bodied, rich and creamy, this wine is well-concentrated with an abundance of dark fruit and chocolate on the attack. The mid-palate shows a lot of tannin, but very tightly-knit, ripe and refined, coupled with medium-high acidity, forming a solid structure at the back end. Long finish, tannic and fruity with some residual sugar, chocolate, crème de cassis, finishing with some smokiness, toasted oak and almond components. Great effort from this single-vineyard Turnbull, nice representation of Napa Cab. Quite accessible, but will continue to evolve and develop more complexity. Drink now before 2020.

Drinking perfect. Still has 4-5 years aging potential. Great balance of fruit and tannins. Oak comes through nicely with ripe blackberry and cherry notes Love it!

Fabulous! Decanted two bottles for an hour and drank up with beef bourg. Peaking now.

Drinking wonderfully right now. Black in the glass, the wine is silky and well developed. Good balance between fruit and tannin.
