90-minute decant. Deep dark vibrant magenta color. Blackberry, dark raspberry, dried mushroom, bay leaf, toffee, and subtle fig. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
This is nicely aged and easy drinking. It’s got very pleasant tertiary notes. After spending several days in the Balkans, this was a nice transition back to American wine (and by “American” I mean Napa CS).
Two hour slow ox, was a mistake should have done a good decant. Found its stride after two hours of drinking. Ultimately, an excellent Turnbull single vineyard cab.

Purple fruit - blackberry, currants, dark cherry, and plum. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth/concentration - medium/medium plus body. Nice rich flavors of cassis, some spice, and a little cocoa. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Improved a little with time but drinking well after the decant. Drank next to the 2019 Carter Haze cab to see how they compare since most of the Haze is from the Fortuna Vineyard. I slightly preferred the Haze (a little purer) but both were quite enjoyable - 94 for the Turnbull and 95 for the Haze. Consistently a solid wine but with the Winery direct price at $145 for the 2020 Fortuna cab there are better options for the price point in my opinion. I find it interesting that Carter’s Haze is quite a bit cheaper at $95 yet Turnbull controls the fruit.
Two hour decant. Very deep ruby magenta color. Pecan, maple syrup, boysenberry, blackberry, and basil. Smooth, dry palate, with latent back of the tongue acidity. Firm, soft tannins on the medium long+ finish.

Another of our host's Agelvis' wines.....with a 2 hour decant. Dark purple in the glass with a nose of sweet, voluptuous black fruit and pecan. The palate has excellent weight with rich plum and blackberry fruit. Very integrated and resolved right now, excellent balance and a good 30 second + ending. Totally different animal than the '17 Black Label cab before it, maybe a tad less class but a tad more fun? Both in the same 94-95 pt ballpark for me. Both wonderful. Ty Ag!
