A fine, deep Cab with lots of dark fruit and earth on the nose and a touch of sweetness on the palate. Could easily have been mid-90s except for a hint of hardness on the medium-long finish. Tannins are smoothing out, but still needs a few hours in the decanter to show its best.

This was absolutely delicious. The time in the cellar really paid off here. Very rich and full bodied. Black fruit in abundance with some tar for a long finish with just a hint of sweetness. This is definitely in its window. The tannins are letting go enough to really enjoy it with a meal. Drink now-2020.

My 2nd to last bottle...was terrific with a butter basted ribeye. Consistent with other folks' comments, I don't think this will improve any more with age, however this was every bit as good as the last bottled I had about 18 months ago. Classic (Turnbull) cabernet nose of dark fruit and soil, nice mid mouth feel, and mid-length finish with still a decent bit of tannin. Easy to sip, yet also a great fit with a fatty meat. I stopped buying Turnbull after the 100 point rating (I bought this bottle for $60 in 2010; now it would be over $100), but this reminded me of the excellent product they put forth.

Definitely enjoyable! Nice fruit, well integrated, deep with a bit of intrigue. Drinks well, a little more depth than the Napa $40 range but lacks what I'd expect at double that price point. Really a treat, but feels like I'm trying too hard to love it. Would like to see a longer finish and more complexity. I wouldn't expect time to improve this too much, although it has plenty of life left if you're saving for a special occasion.

A well integrated big cab. High alcohol content (15.5%) not that apparent. Opened two hours before dinner, then drank over next four hours, held up great over that time. Has many years left.
