Part of all grand cru Burgundy tasting at Bymark. First red wine of the night. Dark red fruit with earthy notes. Palate intense, balanced, complete. Long finish. No sign of this wine dying any time soon.

Kreuzritter - Vol. 2: Rather muted nose with coke scents and some red fruit. Initially (after 2h of slow-ox) not ready to drink with edgy tannins and a below average balance. But became rounder and more elegant by the minute with an attractive spiciness, red fruit and dark chocolate hints and a good concentration on the palate. Clearly to young to drink. This needs several more years and/or a long 3h+ decant. Would certainly showed better with a proper decant.

Burgundy evening at Restaurant Kreuz in Obergösgen (I KNOW, RIGHT?!) (Obergösgen, Aargau Switzerland): Aromatics more on the fruity side with a carbonated sweetness. But also spicy. Surprisingly young and not yet well integreated on the palate - it would appear this needs a few more years of bottle age?
