TOO YOUNG like actually kind of unpleasant right now, but also serious in a way that is RARE among usa pinots, give it three years at least, honestly probably more like 8, and I think it will become something quite special

Wow, what a knock-out nose of minerals and a hint of animale and floral. dense palate is tannic and tight in texture, but open in flavors. Good now, this could use some time. Savory. Drink 2025-2032+ 92+

Bottled unfined and unfiltered, 73% of Cristom's 2022 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée was sourced from five different estate vineyards, with the balanced being purchased from five other well-established, contracted vineyards within the appellation. Aged 10 months sur lie in French oak barriques (22% new), it serves up an aromatic profile of Bing cherries, raspberries, baking spices, black tea, sage and cocoa. Medium-bodied, fresh, proportionately oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13.5%), it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, wrapped with medium-weight, silky-textured tannins. With a dense mid-palate and lengthy finish, this is a blended Pinot that is greater than the sum of its parts. Sampled over a three-hour period from a bottle that had been popped and poured, it showed best after receiving and hour of air. Drink now-2034.

Pale color. Sharp red fruit and spice on the nose with - cinnamon. Palate brought out the classic Pinot red fruit. This is still a very young wine and needs more years in the bottle.

More depth than other years. Layers. Better drink. Can age. Interesting
