  • Purchased on release, passive storage in a cool cellar. What a delight. The color held up well with a little bricking on the clear, bright garnet color. The nose is reminiscent of woody loamy forest floor. This was quickly replaced by a slight vegi aroma that initially concerned me but this passed over the next hour or so. The wine developed a mature red fruit nose that is quite nice. Paired with grilled copper river salmon with a shiitake mushroom relish and pan roasted asparagus. Is there a better match? I don't think so.
