From memory, tasty, relatively full-bodied wine with plenty of fresh flavor and just enough tartness to balance, somewhere between chenin blanc and marsanne in flavor profile.

Light gray 14k gold. Nose of wax, wool, musk, tropical fruit. The palate is medium exotic and light citrus fruit, a little savory and oily, but just sufficiently tart. The finish is long and more refreshing than the palate. This is an interesting and tasty wine which demands attention rather than food.

The nose showed spicy floral notes, a hint of peach and crushed raw almonds. On the palate it was soft with a medium body and notes of wood and nuts. The finish was woody and fresh. As much as I enjoyed this wine, at six years old, I doubt the average taster would be as happy with it.

Interesting nose with some sweet candied notes, and a little fruit coming across. At this point in time you are starting to get that nutty and waxy character coming across, but there is still a nice vibrant acidity and balance in the wine. While I don't have much experience with this varietal, I do believe it should be consumed within the first 4 years of vintage date.

Natural Wines of Italy (Jug Shop, San Francisco, CA): Honeyed with lavender and marzipan notes. Rich and long with almond and nutmeg flavors. This was a touch soft? Seems like it needs some time and did not show that well in this lineup/format. Kind of disappointing, but I'd definitely give it another try. Finally a realistically priced wine; a relative bargain @$30.
