Tasted blind with other wines from the mid 2000s. After tasting this wine many times this was my last bottle and definitely the worst experience. This hedonistic bombastic wines are ment to be consumed early, this are not Bordeaux and with a few years are definitely ready. The wine extremely boring and with lots of that burnt rubber tire smell that I dislike. This wine with 5 years of cellar time had enough, but almost 20 years is just way too much

Slow Od for an hour and a half; decanted for three. As good as ever; will not improve. Rich, dark, thick purple-red. Barossa does this style very well. Slightly reminiscent of root beer in its complex sweetness, though more layered and interesting. Not subtle, packed with fruit, evoking dark chocolate (without actually being chocolatey.) My last of six, and the final Australian in my cellar.

It remains a beauty. Doesn’t have that much time left but it was great while it lasted. Needs a decant as it has lots of sediment and an hour in the decanter made it shine

An outstanding Shiraz nearing the edge, but not so close the end, of its drinking window. Slow O'd for two hours, decanted for an hour. Again, concentrated flavors of dark chocolate and bitter orange among the black fruit; simply delicious. My dining companion became an instant convert to the glories of fine Australian Shiraz.

Fabulous. Full body with lots of red fruit and a long smooth finish. Loved it.
