Deep red colour. Nose with dark berries including blackcurrants and blackberries, salty liquorice, oaky vanilla notes, some chocolate, developed notes with a bit of leather. Powerful and mouth-filling palate with salty liquourice, blackcurrants, pepper, well integrated tannin and a long finish. Definitely an "old school" Aussie Shiraz, i.e., quite powerful, but pleasantly enough not too alcoholic. Fully developed but can definitely take more time in the cellar. 90 p.

Opened by Otis. One of 3 Shiraz we paired with smoked mustard glazed short ribs. 2nd time I have had this wine with consistent notes. Dark garnet color. Fruity and creamy character. Wonderful mouthfeel. Notes of lush berries, caramel and chocolate. Well balanced with excellent depth. My favorite of the 3 Shiraz we drank. 95 points.

Still very drinkable but a bit lifeless.
