A just for laughs tasting note that was a dual effort of mine and a close friend at his birthday party after a few bottles had disappeared: You know when you come in from the campfire and you rub black raspberries all over your body and then the beagle comes in and licks it off? It tastes like that spit. Basically, well made and delicious, but a bit too over extracted and jammy for my tastes. Cheers!

Moncur Syrah/Shiraz (Bistro Moncur, Sydney): ripe old school Aussie shiraz. There is a touch of liquorice joining all those jammy fruit and vanilla & chocolate oak notes here.

Dark tar and herbal aromatics
Smooth, velvety, black fruit turning peppery, long layers working a subtle balance of acidity and intensity
Longer term potential 92-94
