nose - barnyard, stinky mouth - gorgeous, complex, boysenberry and sour plum, with hints of orange peel, juicy while still being tannic. excellent balance. A wow beaune.

On the dark side, masculine and somewhat brooding. Iron and earth tones, a good acid presence. Very nice showing. Young, but turning to aged Burgundy Pinot. Quite good.

Light appearance with no hint of age. No overwhelming aroma with cedar hints. Peppery and black berry on the palate.

Blind Tasting: Beaune specifically, not Côte de Beaune generally (Camino): A thick and intense impression but not a thick wine. Ebullient even. With a little mint, shiso, spicy leaf. But then serious too. Long and unwavering.
My WotN.
