Unlike many of the Turley Zins this one was a bit subdued. It opened right out of the bottle but never reached the power of rich fruit and pepper normally in Turley's Zins. The wine did posses subtle nuances of bark, leather and ripe stone fruit. I do not think it will improve with age.

Excellent Structure. This inky, medium-full bodied Zin has the indicative dried, raisiny fruit flavor of Turley. With a nose of overripe plum, dried raspberry and spice box, this wine rolls onto the palate with modest oak, dried dark fruit and subtle red notes. The finish is long and accented by a pleasant bit of tartness.

Another great bottle we pulled out to make room for new additions. You gotta love progress. Opened and let it breath for 90 mins. Nice fruit nose with currant & spice. Dark color with a nice fruit in the body and classic Zin finish. A perfect pairing for a NY Strip to celebrate Valentines Day. It only grew better over the next 2 hours.

Popped and poured. This bottle held up well, though it's better to drink it now. It still maintained some good cedar and pepper spiciness, but with soft edges that made it very enjoyable.

Fruit forward, musky and at the same time fresh. Enjoyed it.
