layers of dark fruits and earth on the nose , but quite restrained and more one dimensional on the palate, the finish tart and tight but overall very good

0 for 2 for tonight. not sure why I bought this off WineBid with recent tasting notes as this wine is way over the hill. I'll cork and and drink tomorrow in the hopes this magically becomes better, but most likely a pour out. I'm discovering that turley does not age well
2nd night and things have dramatically changed. Still not that great, but much better than yesterday's PNP. Suggest decanting a couple hours. Still a little funky on the nose and some heat on the back end, but overall not bad

Decanted for two hours. Ruby red color and a reticent nose of dark fruit. Medium-bodied and thin, with faded fruit on the palate, outweighed by prominent alcohol and lively acids. Fairly lengthy finish whose overwhelming note is heat. Clearly, this bottle should have been consumed several years ago.

Dark plums, baking spices, well balanced, getting a bit tired at this age.

Almost more tobacco and spice than fruit, but that could be an age issue, of course. Still, very pleasing. Not getting the alcohol some have noted.
