Pale straw with green highlights. Quite a minerally nose with some floral elements as well as a touch of cream. Very composed and focused on the palate with good line through the mid-palate to the moderately long finish coupled with some breadth and a sense of slightly spicy richness at the edges. A touch of custard apple. ***1/2

Disappointing. This wasn't old or tired to me. It was weak and diffuse. Nothing exciting here.

French Wine Pairing Dinner (The Plum Island Grille, Newbury, MA): Nose of pears, oak with a palate of apple, pear, vanilla, toasty oak with a good backbone of acidity. Hint of butterscotch on the finish.
