  • Perfect bottle - Bright yellow, no browning or sign of age, no premox, and this has another 5 years, easily. Some secondary notes are starting to shine through with some nuts, coconut, honey, but this is just getting to peak at age 10. grapefruit, lemon, chalkiness, and great minerality. 92+

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light lemon color, watery rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon and grapefruit, floral notes of hawthorn, mineral notes of steel, maturity notes of honey and mushroom, green fruit of ripe apple, kernel notes of roasted almond. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body and medium (+) intensity flavors of citrus fruit of lemon and grapefruit, green fruit of apple, mineral notes of steel, kernel notes of roasted almond, maturity notes of honey. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru with an intense nose showing good complexity, with some development characters but still predominantly young on aromas, the wine has good acidity, highly refreshing and vibrant, with good structure and a nice balance. It has good concentration as well with a similar taste profile and a fairly long finish. It is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 2-3 years.

  • (mag) Young, full, rich with pear, green apple, and citrus zest. Some vanilla oak notes, very long. Nice balance of acid and fruit, if it wasn’t for premox I’d try to age my other one. But a pretty delicious young Chassagne. A-

  • Langton's Cellar Club May 2013 (Roof Terrace Australian Museum): aromas of peach, citrus, butter, more of the same o the palate, quite weighty but still retains elegance. Good

  • (Langton's Tasting, May 2013) Graprefuit, steel and soft white flowers, with some white cracked pepper. Brighter and more structured than La Boudriotte. Classy verticality.
