Excellent bottle, had for Christmas dinner. The bottle is probably a bit more tawney than I expected, but even so the balance is still very pleasant. Light sediment, and not overly acidic, I’d judge this as an old bottle vs. newer, so that said: cork crumbled on the way out, but no signs of wine around the edges. A great deal of floral nose, to me lavandar and of course the tawney smell I mentioned. Very silky on the pallet, although beginning to thin out. Again, a lot of flower, and just barely enough tannin left to keep it interesting. As always, I enjoy most anything Beringer.

2017 Holiday Season Wine Tasting Party; 12/2/2017-12/3/2017 (Our house): Ready to drink and still tasting great - it's amazing how well this wine has held up. Tobacco, anise, cherry, flowers. Drinking in a flight with a 1996 Clerc Milon and the wines were neck and neck although the Clerc Milon clearly had more acidity.

Everything you want from a maturing CA Cab. Classically Napa. Seems like it just came into it's own in the last few years. Terrific.

Mature, with fully integrated tannins, balanced nicely with slightly stewed fruit and lots of leather, tobacco, an mocha.
