I was a bit disappointed with this. Pale garnet but possibly edgy towards brickish. A decent nose, but the flavour was lacking. The tannins had nicely faded but I felt that the acidity was a bit out of whack. There wasn’t enough fruit or complex secondary flavours, and the acidity eventually wore on me. I think it was freshest and most interesting right after opening. So with my last bottle I’m going to pop and pour rather than decant at all (I decant d for about an hour and a half).

Bought this back in 2014 via auction - one bottle, pristine condition.
+ Preparation - pop and pour, no decanting, tasted at 16°C + Nose - lots of coffee, dried herbs, some cinnamon, earthy + Mouth - dried fruits, no tannins left, slightly herbal + Finish - some leather, dried fruits, a bit short
My hopes weren't high for this vintage, I assume it would meet the drain upon uncorking. Still, we were all pleased it was still to be enjoyed. Clearly way past its peak, but enjoyable. Always nice to taste a wine older than me that survived the years better then I did ;-)
