Mixed findings Olles cellar, wine #3: classic right banker late in drinking window but still highly drinkable and nice fruit. Elegant and sophisticated nose with hay, basement, cedar, tobacco, mature cassis notes and a hint of smoke. Slim body, fresh acidity, nicely integrated oak, slightly bitter finish and hints of oxidative notes. BV=1, WV=4

3 hrs in decanter. Deep red w amber/brownish edge. Sweet, cherries, spices in bq. Softened tannins. Elegant, medium bodied, touches of milk chocolate and spices. Past its peak, but still vigorous. Much better than its reputation!!

Frisk syre. Milde, lett undermodne tanniner i utgang med svakt bittert preg. Grei lengde.

1990 Bordeaux Horizontal: Blind. Dark fruit with some depth, otherwise a bit shy nose, a hint of spice; moderate length and fullness, good balance, drying finish, a bit bell pepper (some CF here?). Thought it was La Croix de Gay. Dissapointing.

PP's MNSC (HK Club Edinburgh Room): decanted for 2hrs. wonderfully expressive. a little lacking in depth and length, especially compared (somewhat unfairly) to its starry neighbours in the same flight. nonetheless very enjoyable. a real outperformer.
