Pale yellow color. Grapefruit/lemon aroma with underlying petrol, very pleasant. Slightly sweet, has effervescent quality in mouth. Medium+ acidity. Nice

A good but not great kabinett. I mostly agree with the notes below, but think this is missing a little depth on the mid palate. Very good acidity and minerality makes this very refreshing, but the stone fruits on the nose don't quite follow through enough on the palate. A little thin for my liking.
Edit on day 2: this picked up weight on the second day, and now I'd say it's a great kabinett. I'd buy more if I could find it.

Pale yellow colour. In the nose, there's just a tiny sponti note left. It's a bit reduced with some freshly squeezed lemon juice, grapefruit, white blossoms and white peach. On the palate, there's good minerality and a rather soft acidity for the vintage. It's not overly sweet and has lemon and grapefruit in the finish, i.e. slightly bitter in a nice way. Good stuff, but I like the 2008 Domprobst better.

AP #3 under screw cap. Slightly reductive. Leaner profile for Schaefer due to cooler vintage. Not as exuberant or as expressive as I anticipated.

Nose > Beautiful, pungent, creamy, lime-flesh & zest, lavender & thyme, with cool slatey powdered minerals.
On the palate > piquant/pungent tart-apricot, quince, peaches & cream. Great citrus pith, stony, lime-flesh finish.
Med+ acidity. Medium intensity & length.
