  • Oh my goodness! This wine is perfect. It has everything I could want for a Kabinett, and lacks nothing. It is all at once, fresh, juicy, snappy, with a kaleidoscopic cornucopia of aromatic orchard and berry fruits. Tangerine meat, dried citrus peel, cherry skin, apple skin, sweet lime, all pop in and out of my thoughts. Then there are myriad mineral complexities like slate, gneiss, granite, dirt road, gravelly river bed. The extras here work my synesthesia thoughts to the max, with sure thoughts of filigree, lifted, airy, floating, balanced, nuanced, lively are a few modifies I can use! It’s so great and all of these tastes and perceptions, are perfectly balanced and integrated. Man is this terrific! I thought I had more, but only one bottle remains!!!!

  • AP #2. The screwcap comes off with a ''pop'', so it's still very fresh. Mid-yellow colour. The nose is slightly reductive and sulphurous, but there is ample lifted quince as well as some minor floral notes. Unsurprisingly, the palate detects spritzig. What follows is a gush of yellow citrus and stone fruit. While not pin-point accurate kabinett, it's most of the way there. While the finish has plenty of zip, when viewed in the context of the producer, one could initially say that it finishes a bit short. Though an hour later, the length is a little improved. Major quaffing pleasure here. Closer to very good than to very good plus. There should be another five years of pleasure here.

  • This has hollowed out a little, drinking well enough now, citrus peel and a calm floral element. Still spiky acidity though suggesting this still would benefit from some time to settle.

  • Delicious and very quaffable. A slightly fuller style than a true Kabinett. A touch of creaminess materialises in time.

  • Unscrewed and poured. Aroma of peaches and lichee. Clean flavors of pear and minerals, with some spritz. Tangy apricot finish. Firm backbone, classic flavors, some complexity. Has what I consider true Kabinett level sweetness.

    Delicious wine, approaching middle age.
