  Decanted and poured, this wine showed well with floral, tar, leather and black cherry notes on the bouquet. The aromatics are nicely defined and provide a mix of youthful and mature notes. The color is a medium ruby that is appropriate for the wines age. The medium bodied palate shows balance and a medium length finish where tannins and acidity remain present. This is at or around its peak and not likely to improve with additional bottle age. It should continue to drink well over the next 4 or 5 years.
