The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It tastes like forest floor, blackberry, black pepper and cool/menthol. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
Carefully cellared since 2013, acquired in a "Book or Burge" with the Shadrach and the Abendago. Decanted for 2 hours before serving.
Meshach aged nicely and seems to be just starting its downhill glide. Sufficient structure to be interesting, yet delicate - not like a full-bodied Shiraz at all. I would open now and not wait with any other bottles. Served with leg of lamb

I was expecting a wine of great density - and this certainly is that - but it never felt heavy or burdened as some of these flagship Barossa shiraz can tend to. Plush tannins. Blackberry, chocolate, plums, coconut/vanilla oak. In a great place to drink right now and I wouldn't hold for much longer.

Right in its sweet spot. The balance is amazing. Every element working together as the winemaker intended. It will go another decade at least.

Strong on the nose. Bold Barossa Shiraz still going strong - several years left if I had to guess. Loved by all at the xmas table
