  Moderately deep golden yellow color. Sweet, waxy and complex nose with attractive, developed aromas of apple jam, wizened apricots, some browned butter, a little bit of fruit salad syrup, light mineral notes of wet stones and a hint of beeswax. The wine is rich, full-bodied and quite concentrated on the palate with powerful, lively and moderately sweet flavors of lemon marmalade, steely minerality, some red apples, a little bit of wet stones, light honeyed tones, a hint of dried peach and a touch of creaminess. The high acidity keeps the wine remarkably well in balance, lending it good freshness and sense of structure. The finish is long, complex and quite concentrated with moderately sweet and pretty powerful flavors of steely minerality, lemon marmalade, some browned butter, a little bit of apple purée, light beeswaxy tones, a hint of dried pineapple and a touch of creamy richness.
  
  A beautifully harmonious and wonderfully developed Riesling Auslese that feels like it is at is peak or close to it. Shows immense complexity and impressive balance. Although I am not entirely sure if the wine will develop anywhere from here, I'm positive it will keep very nicely for many more years - perhaps even a decade, or more. Drink now or keep. A superb example of Nahe Riesling.

  Surprisingly delicious. Confident and poised. Contrasting sweetness, slate, dry mushroom, chalk, and ripe fruit including a lot of apricot. I like it now, but this certainly has upside. Consumed with pineapple souffle and fruit sorbet. 94+
