Well made but TOO MUCH HEAT! Damn napa wines. Felt like I was slapped in the face by alcohol. Welcome to California over exaggerated adulterated nonsense. Felt the harsh bite on the finish again and again with each sip. Pepper, lots of astringent harsh alcoholic pepper! Wait, intense fresh ground black pepper in a cab? Meh.This isn't syrah. That and the heat from excessive alcohol (from a well aged cab!) massively detracted from the experience, as usual. Idiots. This has been manipulated in the wine making.
Decanted 2 hours, got better after 3 and probably needs 5 hours. The last glass was silky but again the heat kept creeping in. Otherwise would have a much higher score. Has so much potential, what a shame they ruined a potentially excellent wine.
I have another bottle and will decant 5-6 hours with hopes it will mellow out.
drank about 1 hour and 45 minutes after decanting. This was soooo beautiful and lovely, showing such elegance! Lovely cool fruit, a little peppery, smoky, and minty. Drinking very, very well at the moment.

Graphite tinged Eisele wine that makes you wonder where this is from. New world for sure, but the graphite is confusing. Then the big red fruit and juju starts poking out, possibly hinting to something from old vines California. I dont think this is going to get better...Drink

(Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon) Violet-garnet color. An attack of hot-stone minerality is quickly followed by aromas of eucalyptus, black cherry, black plum, and a touch of leather and old wood. The wine has an incredible presence on the palate, with juicy acidity, well-integrated tannins, and a lengthy finish. Terroir: Eisele Vineyard
