Wow. I remember liking this a year or two ago, but I don't remember this.
This has really filled out since I last tasted it. On the nose, tropical fruit, a bit of resin and butter, and just the slightest bit of matchstick funk. On the palate, the initial blast is very rich and full of glycerin. It goes from that bass note to finish brighter with a bit of green that could come across as astringent if there wasn't such a depth of fruit. Instead, it serves to give a bit of brightness. Actually a touch of dryness toward the end. Overall, more balanced than the first impression suggests.
Opened two of these, breaking the neck of the first bottle. For whatever reason, perhaps my storage, the corks on these are as hard as rocks.

Nutty aromas. Some honeysuckle, barley. Just a touch vegetal too. Weighty palate, oily and quite rich. Very dry finish. Mineral bitterness. Needs food. Suggest drink up within next few months.

Clear bright straw colour with a lovely nose of lychee, almond & (dominant) pear
Likewise the palate is very attractive with the same elements as the nose, allied with a touch of oilyness to the texture, nice bright (but not overpowering) acidity and a decent length finish.
Not a stunning wine, but just very attractive and balanced.

Peach and apple aromas following through on the palate. Characteristic Italian bitterness to the fruit. Good weight and length. A food wine.
