Nice cotes du rhone! Good upfront fruit, silky mid palate with hints of game and leather, long finish. Still could cellar a few more years despite my colleagues assessment

Same showing as my note in June. Wonderful wine that shows young, but quite enjoyable in its youth. Best with food, where the wine comes alive. So many great savory elements - delicious!

This is a fantastic CdR. I'm not a huge fan of Grenache, so a 100% Syrah CdR automatically scores higher in my book. This is a mini Cornas. Shows huge cracked pepper, iron, blood and excellent acidity. Truthfully at age 5 this wine remains too young. It has the material to go a decade at least. Enjoyed this bottle with grilled lamb burgers and some kalamata olives. The wine thrived with food. (Also had 3 bottles of this last weekend with some BBQ...2 were as good as this one, but one was a bit subpar...maybe mild TCA?) In any case, an excellent CdR that far exceeds the modest appellation (and is priced above, which is fair).

Showing like last time -- wonderful peppery lean/silky disposition, great food wine.
