Interesting and intriguing stuff, I really do not taste Bandols often, and much less an aged version, so this is quite the treat. Very floral and light on its feet, touch of green perhaps. Red fruits, bright acid. You can say it’s a Bordeaux but this doesn’t have the weight, you can say it’s a Loire but doesn’t have enough green. Structure is present but understated. I don’t get/understand this wine yet, but this vibed with me and I quite liked this.

Same bottle as Melvin. This was drinking well and had to concur with Tim who called this Northern Rhone like given the acidity. He then impressively guessed Bandol due to the "B" theme - don't recall drinking Bandol before.

Wines from regions starting with B: My contribution. Opened at lunchtime for dinner. Guesses were mostly in Syrah, someone impressively said if it that was the case it could only be Bandol because of the B-theme. Quite tannic and lacked fruit when opened, but achieved better balance with air. Old-school, hard-nosed wine with brett, not as exciting as I thought a Peyraud era wine would be.

Just fantastic. Mid- red color with no bricking. Tannins are mostly gone. Deep red berry, earth, orange peel. Complex and suave. Drinks beautifully now. I prefer Tourtine because of the elegance and this is no exception. This was excellent with a ribeye as the still fresh notes of the wine balanced the fatty meat.

Colour still deep. Plenty of fruit , herbs, warm power but balance. Excellent
