Not nearly as compelling as the spatlese, a pretty good demonstration why higher pradikat does not necessarily equal better wine. Here, the extra hang time seems to have baked the spatlese's intense slatey minerality right out of it. This still has nicely fresh pale fruit, nimbler than you'd normally expect from an auslese but still without nearly the crackling energy of the spatlese.
