  • Dinner with the W's and B's (Fiorentini in Rutherford, NJ): This wine was not aired out before arriving at the restaurant, so it only saw about 40 minutes of slo-ox before serving. Even with the limited aeration the wine opened up to a bouquet of blue and black fruits, plus some spice and earth. These followed on to the palate, with very nice intensity and expression. The acidity was nicely balanced but there were some tannins. A very nice wine overall. Should last for many more years.

  • Agree with last review, lots of Bordeaux barnyard. Some dark fruit lurks below. From coravin. Will decant longer next time, update score as needed.

  • I wish I was more of a wine expert. Have a bunch of Turleys in the basement at probably not perfect storage temps. But they usually are excellent. Is it possible that Brettanomyces this may have barnyard nose? The taste is delicious, but the nose I don’t care for. Maybe I am using the wrong words or my taste palate is off when I say it tastes good. HELP!

  • Probably the finest expression of the 2000 vintage in Napa that I have drunk - certainly a more-profound experience than the Harlan 2000! Gorgeous,a and mature from the outset, with time in the glass, this wine became more and more distinguished, with unbelievably beautiful lifted and ripe blue and black fruits.Intense, amazing layered complexity, quite mature, but showing every sign that it will continue to transform with time. The structure is close to profound, and yet it does not feel overdone, or harsh in any way. A very fine wine.

  • Plum, dark fruit, espresso are dominant in this smooth, inky black, long finished beauty.
