This is good, but not great. The color is pale garnet with a fair amount of bricking; the nose is nice with lovely sous bois, red berry fruits, spice, and dried violet; also seems to be a touch of wood that was not fully absorbed; the palate is typical for most of the 08's I've tried, a little lean and lacking in the middle with borderline edgy acidity. Needs food for sure, but I think this needs to be drank sooner rather than later based on this particular bottle. Overall I was hoping for a bit more for a 1er cru wine from a producer of Grivot's quality.

Fleeting impressions from the Goedhuis tasting (Saatchi Gallery, London SW3): Browner than the 09 Lavières, more evolved, more intrigue. Sharp dry finish.
